I’m just not a fan of this place. Everything about it just says run down. The decor on the walls is all dusty. The tables were a little sticky. The food was ok at best. I doubt I’ll come back here anytime soon. Greenwood and Indy aren’t that far away and have much much much better options.
Lifetime Customer. Firstly, to you haters. If you have a problem why can’t you say something? These people can’t read your mind nor are they paid to interpret your facial expressions to decipher if you are enjoying your dinner. Speak up! Rant over. This is THE place to get a steak. Whether you are in Martinsville or the Southside of Indy be prepared for the steak experience of a lifetime. Steak cooked to perfection, trust me pink = tender and juicy. Warning: This place does not have WiFi so bring along a set of conversation cards and be prepared to TALK with the people sitting across from you. Also, the menu is simple for a reason: to provide you with the freshest ingredients at premium cost. No Coupons because the food sells itself after the first bite, if you can’t afford it then don’t go.My final thought: My family has celebrated a lifetime of birthdays and very special occasions at Bynum’s and we intend to continue the tradition with my children and grandchildren. Don’t put off the chance to to enjoy the best steak money can buy.
Crappy hostess. Once I got seated service was great. Food was great waitress where friendly. The big problem I had was the hostess she only had 4 groups in the waiting room and couldn’t remember anybody’s names or when they got there. To top it all off she was seating people before me that had arrived after I did. They didn’t have a reservation so they should have waited till I had been seated.
My family & I walked into Bynum’s at 6:45 the waiting room was packed. People were complaining because they hadn’t even been checked and had been there since 6. A lady kept walking by saying sorry be with you in a minute finally at 7:15 she took a 6pm reservation to their seat. She came back in and was very rude with another customer about her reservation. She then was very rude with me. I asked to speak to a manager and she goes that’s me I’m Heidi. I asked to speak to the owner two times she just ignored me. You can’t be rude with customers just trying to ask if they can get their name put in.
It’s ok. The food is good but this place is in serious need of an update. It’s got a stale odor to it right when you walk in. My wife and I almost left after sitting up at the bar because of the smell but decided to stay and try it out. I’m glad we stayed but I won’t be in a huge rush to get back there anytime soon.
Underrated steak. Very good steak, great staff, fantastic overall experience. Quality steakhouse.
Didn’t think much of the last visit a year ago. Thought we’d give them another chance. It was just as bad if not worse than the previous. Service was friendly & helpful. We have shrimp cocktail b/4 dinner, they were rubbery our steaks weren’t prepared the way we requested, so over done. For the quality of food they served they shouldn’t charge any more then McDonalds. But, they do, a lot more. Won’t be going back, ever.
