I loved it!. The atmosphere is warm and the service was excellent. The cheesecake was made fresh and available with lots of options. The pasta salad and chicken salad were fresh and tasty. My expectations were met in terms of service and quality of the food. It’s well worth the drive if you’re coming from outside of Martinsville. Like all small restaurants, availability will vary on the size of the lunch crowd, so flexibility is a must. They also have a wide variety of sandwiches, salads and daily lunch specials. I’ve especially enjoyed the wraps they offer. A big thumbs up!
I grew up in Martinsville, living in Greenwood now. Had lunch at Jk’s for the first time today with my brother and grandmother. It was very good! I had the BLT with Muenster cheese, my brother had the taco salad, and grandma had pasta salad. We all shared a piece of butterscotch cheesecake. All the food was delicious! It tasted just like home.
Best Place in Martinsville. JK’s is hands down the best place for healthy fare in Martinsville. If you want a cheeseburger, head to Forkey’s with some cash. If you want a great deli sandwhich, JKs is the best, especially for the price. Their pasta salad is great, too. There is another deli nearby but the prices are outrageous.
Will Be Back. This is the best place to meet friends for a very pleasant and casual lunch experience. My girlfriends and I meet in Martinsville (as an in-between) from Indy and Bedford. We can’t try any other restaurants because we love going back to JK’s. Besides the turtle cheesecake, we also love the chicken salad (I get it on lettuce), blt sandwich, and pulled pork bbq sandwich. The pasta salad is a must – and we get large portions! Now we are getting live music, which is a nice local touch and not overbearing, just very pleasant.
Love it!!!. Delicious!!! I’ve been to JK’s many times for lunch and have never been disappointed. The potato soup is my favorite! The cheesecake is the best I have ever tasted! JK’s has wonderful customer service and nice atmosphere. I’ve even been to JK’s for both meetings and lunch with friends. I’ve also been to buy beautiful pottery and gift certificates for friends.
All the way from Egypt. I’ve been to diners in Egypt, New York, Philadelphia and now I currently live in Chicago. I came down for the Super Bowl and found JK’s and I must say nobody has chicken as good as JK’s chicken salad croissant. The pasta salad and cheesecake were good too.
One of the best places to eat in Indiana! Great environment. Great customer service. But most importantly GREAT food!!!! I highly recommend for everyone!
