Great food. Really. We went here on a day trip to the Air Force Museum across the road. It was a Saturday early afternoon and they had both a breakfast buffet and lunch buffet. Everything was great. Best fried chicken I ever had. The bacon and pancakes were uniquely flavored and excellent. If you’re traveling within 10 miles of here, by all means take a detour and stop in. You won’t regret it!
My whole family loves this place. It is worth the drive 20 minute drive to get there. The food is homemade and taste great. We always get the buffet. The chicken, bbq roast, bacon, corn fritters, mash potatoes and brown gravy (awesome), and donuts (also awesome) are all great. Try this place you will be glad you did.
Over priced and under seasoned food. Biscuits and gravy are the worst I’ve ever had and I’m a true B @ G fanatic. If you like eating something that tastes like paste on a bisquick biscuit then it might be for you. As far as the peanut butter spread its good but can do the same thing at home with peanut butter and marshmallow fluff mixed together for way less. Will not receive my business again.
Amazing!. When I come home on weekends from college this is where I want to eat on Saturdays for lunch. They have excellent mashed potatoes, chicken and noodles, green beans, corn, fried chicken, and much more! It is very high quality country food served by great people. They are also great at restocking food when it gets low. Delicious, scrumptious food!!
Filling!. Salad bar was plentiful with lots of toppings. Chicken noodle soup was pretty darn tasty and was a hit among the other diners as well. The fried chicken was very bland to me but very crunchy. The mashed potatoes were the creamiest I have ever had and experienced. I usually like mine chunky, but they had lots of flavor to them so I did enjoy them. The beef and noodles were nothing special. They fry pies that we got to take home were really, really good!!
Great Home Cooking. Home cooking at its best—Great buffet–wonderful soups, homemade bread, pies and dessertsStraight off farm taste meatsI would check the days/hours though–do not believe what is posted above is accurate. They have Gift Certificates! Across from Grissom Air Museum–easy to find
