Too strong of a draft, too dark, and I didn’t know if it was self seating, very confusing. Still waiting on pizza.

The truth about bano’s… Truth is, its the best in town hands down. Why? Ask people that have lived here their whole life and they will tell you, It’s quality food thats been around forever. Not much has changed over time except the tacos and they added a few new items but it is all still spot on. When you grow up eatting from this place and then move away for a couple of years when you come back its top of the to do list for sure. It’s an institution in it’s own well deserved right. Without albano’s life in city wouldnt be the same..

Great Value. I’ve had pizza from nearly everywhere. My Favs are the big $2 slices I got as a kid (early 80s) in Baltimore at the Inner Harbor and the stone-brick oven baked goat-cheese pies we were served in Djibouti, Africa. Still, as I now reside in small-town (well, not too small) Michigan City, the best pies are here at Albano’s Villa! I love the dated ambiance of the dine-in area of the Franklin Avenue location. It’s kinda dark and even has a juke box. Cheap Pitchers of beer (limited varieties) satisfy my husband while the friendly servers keep my glass of tea or cola full. The pies…they use the best sausage and yummy cheeses atop their awesome thin crust or, if you prefer, regular or deep dish. They’re not skimpy on the toppings! If you don’t want a pizza, I’d suggest the calzone or any of the other semi-Italian dishes they solidly prepare. Don’t prepare yourself to be WOWed, but do plan to be satisfied. Bottom line, it’s better than Miller’s (blah and over seasoned) and any of the big-chain pizzas. Why? because you can taste the care and ownership the help put into every bite!

Italian beef, tacos, pizza. In that order. Their Italian beef is good, the bread can be too dry. The tacos are good, can be mediocre. The pizza is good, I don’t like the crust. I want to try the pasta, hear it’s great. The best thing about Albano’s is their Johnson Road Drive-Thru location.

Pizza & Italian Beef. Everything they make (wet burritos) etc. are exceptional! My favorite is the Italian Beef w/cheese! In my opinion, they make the number one in NW Indiana with NO competitors period! I would bet in the last 30 years I have bought at least 300 of them! You have to try it!
