Their dinner salads are super filling. The decor is very tasteful, wood floors and lots of house plants. The service is good. There aren’t as many tables so if it might fill up quickly but this usually isn’t an issue

We have yet to be disappointed at Fiddlehead. They have some unique touches on classic entres and have had some of the best desserts I’ve ever had. They do a great job of rotating items on the menu so there is always something new to try. Ingredients are all fresh and local. Great, laid-back environment and very friendly staff make for a terrific lunch or dinner.

A good restaurant is more than the food, staff, bricks and mortar, though those are definitely important. Fiddlehead is a restaurant that you root for, hope for its success, and breathe a sigh of relief when it’s still open when you return. Local when able (seriously, a shrimp farm in Indiana, how cool is that?!), the food is good to above average, and there are local beers available, which should be the case with every restaurant. Housed in a not very attractive building near the famous outlet mall, the patio and interior have a casual, effortless, and attractive design, which makes it a pleasure to eat and drink there. So what makes Fiddle head special? Besides opening in an area that needs more good food options, the restaurant helps out returning service men and women by providing jobs and training. Both things make them important to this community and that’s why I hope they survive. 50statesofwine.com
