Panini Panini is a quaint eatery on Franklin street. They have indoor and outdoor seating. My family and I always stop in when we are visiting the outlet mall in Michigan City. It’s about a 10 minute walk or a 5 minute drive. Be sure to check out the chalk board menus on both walls! Breakfast (besides French toast) is offered all day and the Lunch specials (until 2) are great! My favorite is the Croque Madame. The menu is extensive and a variety of themes. From French to American to New Orleans themes. They have an extensive dessert menu in the bakery cases.
This place has an excellent feel to it. Tons of menu items which is nice but it starts to get dizzying. The people are friendly at first glance but don’t ask them questions or they will seem offended. Lastly they carry hundred of menu items but no whole wheat bread or potatoe products. It’s a classic example of a great idea that is mediocre in execution. Some small changes would really put this resturant on a whole new level.
