Food might be good but how do you know if you can’t get waited on…..
A Gem in the Heartland. Stumbled on this lovely restaurant after my mother had a dentist’s visit at Dodd’s Dentistry around the corner ( Dr Dodds is fabulous by the way ) . My mother lives in France and I am English, we are a military family and have traveled all over the world. We always love to find and support local places to eat and shop. This Caf reminds me of a Bistro in England, It is an absolute gem that we are used to finding in NY or where we were stationed last or in Savanah GA where our daughter went to SCAD. We had the Soup of the day – Black bean and the Chicken noodle both were fresh and fabulous. We also had grilled cheese sandwiches. The Buffalo chicken was excellent. Will definitely recommend to all our friends and make a purposeful return visit.
Great place, great atmosphere. I have to say, this is the best restaurant in Mooresville. Everything I’ve had here is so good and the staff is really nice. I haven’t been in since they moved around the corner but the atmosphere was nice and quaint with an everyone knows your name feel in the old location. I just hope they didn’t lose that when they moved.

Repeat Customers. My spouse and I eat at Ralph and Ava’s at least weekly and we love it! The owner will go out of her way to keep you happy. I can’t imagine anyone not knowing that right away when you meet her. The food is great! Everyone loves the pretzel melt. Her soups are awesome too! I was happy to hear that the restaurant is expanding too! Word is they will be keeping their current space for a coffee shop and locating the restaurant in a larger, still quaint and historic, building around the corner. Can’t wait!
We just visited Ralph and Ava’s for the very first time and absolutely loved it! The pretzel melt was amazing and the service was excellent! I would also recommend the cheesecake-stuffed, chocolate-covered strawberries. Delicious! It’s such a cozy and inviting atmosphere and we will definitely be visiting again soon!
Dinner. We were so disappointed in our meal and the service. This was our second time there and expected a great meal in a great atmosphere. Instead, my husband’s meal was horrible! It was obvious the pork chop was dry and the green beans were mushy…and I only looked at it. The owner/waitress was obviously much more interested in doing paperwork than making sure we were happy with our meal or needed refills on my coffee. We will not be back.
