Disappointed…. We have used Sugar Mamas for the past six years. We had them make my grandma’s 80th birthday cake, my sister’s wedding cake, etc. We wanted them to make my niece’s first birthday cake. We ordered it far in advance. On the morning of the party the store was closed. We called, and they said they never got a deposit. My sister had misunderstood and thought we didn’t have to make a deposit. That was our fault, true. But they never called, even though we had signed for the cake. So we had to frantically find a cake for my niece’s birthday party. If you want mediocre cakes that the baker is too ambitious about and service that doesn’t actually care, than this is the bakery for you.

THINK TWICE WHO YOU TRUST WITH YOUR WEDDING CAKE. UNPROFESSIONAL, WORST SERVICE EVER! After so many good reviews and referals, I thought I had found the place that would be perfect to do my wedding cake. WRONG. I set up an appointment for a cake tasting where there was no cake, only an all-knowing store front manager… not a baker. Then after giving them another chance to make me the samples and pick them up myself, THEY STOOD ME UP. I calmly called for an explaination as to why they had NO APOLOGY and then PROCEEDED TO CALL ME A LAIR. And that makinging my cake was impossible anyway. Heed my warning, do not use them. Oh, but I did taste their fondant icing… awful, tacky, sticky, bad flavor, horrible.
