Great little bar to go to. Cozy, friendly atmosphere. This is not fine dining though and the selection is not as big as other places that you might go to. This is just a no-frills bar that will not leave you broke.
I had dinner here last night while in town on business. The shop front tap house is on one of the main streets in the downtown area, and is easily spotted by the big street front bay windows. Parking is a bit of a challenge, at least from what I could tell as a non-local. It’s mainly street parking and I lucked into a spot out front.Inside it’s smaller than you’d think but very open and loud- despite being a Monday night there was a good crowd. There were people waiting for tables when I arrived and it was a little survival of the fittest finding a seat – no greeter just seat yourself. The visit was an odd experience- excellent beer selection but slow service. Pretty good burger but a la carte menu so it’s not as cheap as it would appear. Whomever was in charge elected to put a horror film on the TVs, which was a little on the gory side and probably didn’t do much for patrons appetites. The couple beside me left rather than having another round because they were put off by it. At any rate, a la carte or not the price is decent – less than $30 bar and tip in; I did order a side to go with the burger too. I don’t regret coming here, especially because of the excellent craft beer selection, but I’d suggest laying off the horror flicks in the future. I like those types of films, just not as dinner theater.
