We were lucky to get a seat at the pub one night after many failed attempts over the last year! We each got a flight and had some appetizers to share. The Zombie Dust and Alpha King were solid, the flight being quite reasonably priced. We ordered some roasted broccoli bites, which were paired with pepitas, pickles, and slaw. The broccoli was not really roasted at all, and unfortunately it didnt have much flavor. Their house fries were good with the Parmesan cheese, their fry sauce adding to the appetizer. I think we wouldve had a better experiencing ordering a meal instead of appetizers, as the tacos and pork buns were widely ordered (and complimented on) by other diners.
Excellent beer selections and a nice variety on the menu. With a unique atmosphere, this is a fun place to go in Munster. With a carryout section, you can take selections home with you!
I had the snapper, that is one of the best dish I have had in a very long time the. The snapper was flaky, the potato croquettes were crispy and tender. The black bean puree had flavor not just mealy, with the spicy oil and feta. C’mon man practice, practice. That was the game. Hats off.
Beer great! Food blows.. The descriptions of the food sound a lot better than they taste. Be careful most of mixtures they try do not taste good. Fries were soggy, burger was ok but dont ask for any toppings because they will not allow it, mac and cheese no flavor and burnt to a crisp, southern fried rice was too burnt to taste any other flavor, the potatoe’s queso blanco… no.
Traveling from South Carolina and stopped in for dinner. The service leaves a little bit to be desired, in fact the waiter we had was just aon rude but the food and the beer are incredible! I’ve had the Gumballhead, Robert the Bruce and Zombie Dust….I’ll be back soon for some more Zombie Dust!
Awesome beer and food. I had the pleasure of going to the brewery on a recent trip home from NJ. I have always been a huge fan of their beer but had no idea that they would have such great food. The atmosphere perfectly fits the company profile and they play great music. I had the 16 hour pork shoulder open face sandwich which was very good albeit a little too salty. I also had the pork belly tacos which were absolutely fantastic. Must try for pork lovers. For beers, I tried the cool breeze, which was much lighter than their other beers and had a nice chardonnay type flavor profile. I also had the zombiedust and broo doo which were both very good hoppy beers. The service was great and the bartender was very nice and informative. I will be back.
We went for lunch and there was about a thirty minute wait. Out of this world craft beer. Try the Permanent Funeral! Food was surprisingly good.
