Very poor service from start to incomplete finish. We have had good meals in the past at Bonefish, enjoying the variety of fresh seafood and preparation options. We had stopped dining with them due to less than stellar service and noisy atmosphere, but decided to give them another try. We had reservations, so were seated fairly promptly. Upon ordering a bottle of wine from the new menu they were touting, we were abandoned for 15 minutes while they looked for this wine. We finally flagged down the server to indicate we would be happy to order a different bottle – just tell us what they actually have. They found the second request but still took several minutes to actually deliver and serve it. The appetizer of Thai coconut shrimp came in good time and was tasty. We ordered our entrees when the appetizer arrived, and my companion’s entre was delivered but nothing for me. The server (a continuous rotation so that no one seemed actually responsible for our service) asked if I had ordered anything, and I told him my order. He responded that he would check into it; we never saw him again. Our initial server stopped by several minutes later and I told her the issue; she also indicated she would check into it. After hubby had finished his entre, a manager arrived with my dish and nonchalantly asked how everything was going. I shared my frustration about the issue, and he indicated he knew nothing about it (false claim, as indicated by server and another manager later). I told him I didn’t want the entre at this point and asked for the check so that we could just get out of there. It took another 10 minutes or so for the check to arrive, and yet another manager made a big deal about comping the meal (of course you are going to comp a meal that didn’t even arrive in time to eat it). Needless to say, we will be sticking with our usual rule of locally owned and managed restaurants and avoid this chain.

Never disappoints!. My husband and I ate here last night on NYE. We usually eat at the Greenwood location but when we called them they were on a 2 hour wait, so we decided to try the Northside location. They were so oooo busy, so I think the server did pretty well. Everything was really good. I got the beet and goat cheese salad and it was amazing! I could have made a meal out of this alone and I plan on getting this everytime I go there. I really liked the spaghetti squash as the seasonal veggie and I also got steamed broccoli. Both sides were good. I also ordered the Salmon with Pan Asian sauce and it was so good. My salmon came out really hot and it was cooked perfectly. My husband got the Red Snapper and it was so delicious. It was such a meaty piece of fish and it was cooked well too. We like to try something new everytime, so we also got the bacon wrapped scallops, which came with mango salsa. They were great. I have never been disappointed by Bonefish Grill, so we were both really happy when we left.

It is the best place in Indianapolis to get fresh fish. Good prices but hard to find parking. Don’t forget to order the bang bang shrimp!

Food was great but I couldn’t hear myself think, much less my friends at the same table. I will not go back; too loud.

Great service, atmosphere is great also. The food was awsome, I started with the famous Bang-bang shrimp an calimari, both done perfectly. Then the main Tokyo style salmon, lightly grilled sushi style over rice, loved it. Then the Imperiol longfin stuffed with shrimp, crab meat, scallops, topped with a butter garlic sauce an cappers. Unbelievably awsome. Washed it all down with the goose island beer that was ment for two. I had a wonderful time, an will defiantly return for more.

Bonefish is an A+!. Me and my boyfriend went to Bonefish last night for the first time and I must say I was very impressed. I haven’t had a meal in awhile that every single thing that I ate was absolutely delicious. We started with the Bang Bang shrimp, which was amazing and aparently it is $5.99 on Wednesday, which we will be coming back for very soon. I had the Kobe burger with avacado and my boyfriend had the tilapia, both were exceptional and we left completely full! Service was amazing and helpful and we will definitely be back soon to try the deserts and drinks!

Still Worth a Visit. We don’t get there often but when we do, Bonefish is a worthwhile experience. For an appetizer, we had the wagyu beef & giner dumplings, which are basically a delicious variation of Japanese gyoza. Perfect start. My wife is stuck on the sea bass and it never disappoints at Bonefish. The preparation is always impeccable, with the fish being cooked to perfection, never over- or under-cooked. I had the special pompano, which was lightly battered, laid over their excellent garlic mashed potatoes and then topped with crab. The pompano was delicious. The only disappointment was their use of pateurized lump crabmeat, frankly a dumb choice. IMHO pasteurized crabmeat isn’t fit for pigs, much less human consumption. It would have been much smarter and tastier to figure a way to use snow crab cut into small pieces as a topping. To sum it up, Bonefish continues to maintain a high quality meal for a chain restaurant. I would rate them close to equal to Mitchell’s Fish Market but with not quite as broad a selection of seafood selections.
