Food was good, but service was terrible. Went on a Saturday night. We walked in with 7 tables sat and about 10 dirty tables that weren’t even pre-bused but tables full of plates with half eaten food. It took a while to even be acknowledged and then they had to clean a table so we could sit down. There was a beautiful bar but it was unmanned. It quickly became obvious that this place was inadequately staffed for a Saturday night. We finally sat down, but the table still needed wiped, which they did while we stood at the table. They dumped all the menus in a pile in the middle of the table. We sat there for a while with no greeting, no water, no drink order, and discussed our back-up option if we had to wait 2 more minutes. Then a lady came and took our order. She was not friendly, and frankly not pleasant. She couldn’t explain the menu or answer simple questions about the menu. The menu was impressive and had a lot to offer but needed a little guidance to better understand house specialties. We watched as food came out to other tables-looked amazing. We got our drinks from the bar, waitress went behind bar to make all the drinks. We never received water but finally requested some because the meal I ordered was going to be hot. She only brought one glass for me and no one else. Food came out in a staggered way leaving some of us with no food for a longer than acceptable period of time. I had ordered Tom Yum soup as an appetizer but they brought it out with my meal instead of before it. Food was decent. Pad Thai wasn’t as hot as I expected. The overall experience was bad. Service and atmosphere was bad and it quickly became the topic of conversation vs catching up with friends. It has potential but fear it’s another restaurant with a solid menu but no business plan. Great food, but lacks good operational execution. I would not go back here. There are a number of great Thai places in town and the food doesn’t rank high enough to tolerate the poor delivery of service and overall experience. Too bad. This space has struggled to get a good restaurant operator since Midtown closed.
