My wife and I had a wonderful dinner tonight at Flemings. The wine list was sizeable with options from $30-several hundred. Butternut squash ravioli and salads for appetizers were very nice and the salmon and filet main courses were spectacular. This was the best filet I’ve had in Indy – better than Ruth’s, Sullivans, even St. Elmo’s. We had the bread pudding for desert and it was supurb. Great service and the overall experience was top notch. Highly recommended.
Fabulous Meal & Service!. Bread with cheese spreads were very good. The French Onion Soup tasted very good but don’t let the odor of the cheese detour you. The Peppercorn Steak & wife’s Filet Mignon were just fantastic. All the sides we had were equally great! Service was spot-on too. Enjoyed a very nice dinner here! Pics included.
Trying too hard to have snob appeal. After being seated we were asked if we wanted white or black linens, bottle or tap water, given an iPad with all kinds of wine info on it even though we weren’t drinking wine. Some guy came around with a huge, crazy wine decanter and asked us if we were drinking wine again interrupting our conversation. My friend ordered a beer with a glass. The glass tasted like an old, sour mop. I asked for a straw for my drink 3xs, had to ask for regular butter twice, had to ask for more bread twice as well. The girl went on about how she’s usually a better server. We ordered a filet which cost $45. For 10 ounces. It was cooked ok but the cut was not very flavorful at all. All the while they are cleaning up crumbs right under my nose and I had to ask them to back off. On a positive note, potatoes were great and everyone was nice. I just don’t like how pretentious and expensive it is especially for the marginal food and poor svc. I think servers need to be professional at a place like that where they can read their customers. I love fine dining and am willing to pay for it but this place was annoying and sub par. Please just focus on food quality and attentive, professional service. Not gimmicks. Especially pass ones.
Two words: creamed corn! Yum. We like to go during happy hour (in the bar) and get the prime burger! More bang for your buck.
Very good. We eat out near nightly and though admittedly we have another steak house on the north side we prefer, Flemings is very, very good. Wine selection is amazing and service is great. It’s really just a modified Ruth’s Chris as Paul Fleming (founder of PF Changs) was a Ruth’s Chris franchisee in Phoenix before he got tired and sold (we know Paul from Scottsdale). Slightly dumbed down concept since he sold it, but still a great place to enjoy a steak or sit at the bar with clients.
Spendy but delicious!. We recently dined at Fleming’s as it was recommended by a friend. the food was really really good. i had a super tasty ribeye. the prices are what you expect from a high end steakhouse.
AWESOME!. My parents and I dined at Fleming’s over the weekend. Wonderful atmosphere. Great happy hour 5 for 6 until 7! Service was impeccible. Thank you for making our evening special! I will definitely be back!
