Scrumptious pizza in Carmel, Indiana!. One of my friends and I stumbled upon Napolese today while we were shopping at The Fashion Mall/Keystone at the Crossing. What a truly hidden gem! The aromas coming from this tiny restaurant were a pleasure. The waitress offered us a choice between sparkling or still water, and I also ordered a cherry coke. We ordered the Fire roasted, local mushrooms with arugula, rosemary cream, spiced granola, and shaved parmesan which was served with piping hot focaccia bread. Honestly, this seasonal starter alone was probably enough. The flavors were extraordinary! My friend ordered the Meridian Kessler pizza, and I ordered the Margherita pizza. The individual pizzas were much larger than we anticipated (always a good thing), so we each took a box home. The pizzas were mouthwatering, and the pizza crust texture was perfect – thin and chewy. Additionally, our service was first-rate, and I felt like we were in a little corner of Italy, not Carmel, Indiana. I highly recommend this restaurant, as they do it right. I would suggest making reservations on the weekends.

Had a great time and wonderful lunch at Napolese today! Roasted beet salad, goat cheese starter and roasted corn starter were a big hit! Our server (can’t recall her name

This is the third time I’ve been here and I absolutely adore this place! Best pizza in the city, and best pepperoni I’ve ever had! The atmosphere is so warm and inviting, and the servers are excellent. This time we had Ben and he was AMAZING! This will become one of the places I regular with my foodie friends!

Yes, it was a busy Saturday afternoon at the mall but that doesn’t excuse the limited interaction we had with our waitress nor did it excuse the mistakes that were sent out from the kitchen. Warm tap water was served at our table and never refilled. We ordered the goat cheese and tomato base appetizer which was good. We also ordered the double chopped salad which was very light on the dressing and filled with charred pieces of meat which left a horrible taste in your mouth. The warm tap water couldn’t even get rid of it. Our waitress didn’t seem phased when I explained the problem. She simple took our plates ( which I wasn’t done with yet), brought back our check (without any adjustment to the charge of the salad (a ten dollar salad), and with no explanation or assurance that the kitchen was even told so it could resolve the problem.

Loud, Bright, HOT!. Keystone location, sitting inside at 1:00. LOUD and crowded. Bright sun shining in big window. I was facing window and had to wear dark sunglasses while talking to my friend. It got HOT in there with sun right on me (will likely be an issue in winter with bright light and people wearing heavier clothing). Water on table was luke warm. No ice. When I asked for some, waiter was a bit smart-alecky. Got the spinach smoked chicken salad. I don’t like salads overdressed, but this salad had so little dressing on it that it was dry and you couldn’t taste it. As a result, salad was not very edible. And $10 and not very big. No bread served with this salad. Thumbs down. Similar experience at Caf Patachou at Keystone with turkey sandwich that was very dry (just bread, turkey and a bit of herb cheese). I will try to avoid all places Patachou in future. Continued disappointments. Very expensive overall — omelettes, $6 soups, etc. Taste in Broadripple is SO much better!!
