Excellent food and service. The place is in a strip mall so doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the decor inside is good. I have eater here three times, and everytime everyone loved their food. Service is also excellent.
Oakley’s has fantastic, unique food and a very intimate atmosphere.
Had 3 small plates, 2 salads and a pair of entrees. Mojito and St. Germaine cocktails were well prepared, refreshing and not super sweet as seems to be the trend these days. Most of the dishes, while being properly cooked, suffer from being overly seasoned/sauced so that the flavor of the main ingredient gets lost. It was hard to taste the lobster and crab in the starter dishes over the cream and curry seasoning. For an upscale restaurant, I would expect more than salmon and tilapia as the fish offerings. Service, unfortunately, was poor and unlike what we’ve experienced there in the past. The small plates and salads were brought out at the same time so that we had to stack up 3 of the dirty plates to be able to get access to the salads. It wouldn’t be so bad if so many staff hadn’t passed the table while the plates were piling up. no one had the courtesy to pick up the plates. so much time passed that i finished my cocktail and water before the plates were finally removed. When the waiter asked if i wanted another cocktail, i asked him for the menu. He just gave me another st. Germaine instead. The guy seemed to be covering too many tables and couldn’t get much right that night. We decided to skip dessert bc the experience to that point was disappointing. At least the bread and butter were great. Overall, dinner for 2 was disappointing for $180+. The waiter definitely didn’t earn his 15% but we gave it to him anyway out of courtesy. Prob not worth another trip for us.
We went for a birthday and had an amazing dining experience. Every dish had amazing components and the desserts were whimsical. They know how to do birthdays right!!!!
Just okay. Not really worth the drive from downtown for a $100 check. I had the chicken & hush puppies, shrimp corndog, the brownie with sassafras ice cream and a blood orange spritzer. My husband had scallops and brussel aprouts. Service was great though.
Whatever you do, get the brussel sprouts.
