I agree with others–this is the gold standard for pastries in any city and I have eaten pastries at some of the best rated bakeries in US and Europe. The hazelnut citrus and the almond croissants especially are wonderful–Perfect blend of crisp, flakey and chewy in the right places. The owner must use the best ingredients and the baking techniques are superb. We simply can’t find many places equal to this. How wonderful to find it less than 15 minutes from Carmel and in the heart of Broad Ripple. In addition, try the molasses cookies and coconut macaroons (which remind me of Bloomington, Indiana’s long-gone Tao restaurant and bakery). Baguettes are great but I’ve never tried the artisan breads or cakes/pies. My thing is flakey croissants. It’s so nice to find a bakery that consistently delivers high-quality product every day it’s open.
