I’ve ashamedly have a very bad sweet tooth and especially for cakes, brownies, cheesecakes, and cupcakes. Been to their competitors and I must say they have the richest tasting cupcake called brown butter. Although I’m hooked on the cupcake I will not patronize them again. I received some dried out sweet potato cupcakes and asked them to replace them the next time I came in. I told them I still had the cupcakes. The girl rudely said she would tell the manager/owner and wrote my info down. It’s been a week haven’t heard a peep from them. I even asked when the owner would be there and she didn’t know a thing. Although I really like the brown butter cupcake, strawberry lemonade cupcakes I will not be back in there because of the lack of follow through, lack of customer service and inconsistency of the cupcakes and plain old rudeness. They don’t give receipts unless you sign up with them. They don’t honor coupons they publish. Cheesecakes aren’t good, brownies are dry, red velvet, Boston cream pie, don’t taste good. I used to go in there every week for about a dozen cupcakes. Their brown butter is great tasting when they cook the caramel right. I’ll just go on back to flying and getting my gigis cheesecake to get my sweet tooth fix. It’s a shame businesses think that they can mistreat customers.
Cake Prices Disappointed. I was a diehard customer of Sweeties. I absolutely love yourr Brown Butter Caramel Cake (available only on Monday and Tuesday). Over the last couple of months I noticed that the size portion has gotten smaller. No biggie. Its still was a great product for the price $4.00. I stop in on 02/12/14 to purchase a slice for an early V-day gift and was informed that all the cake prices have been increased to $6.00. ***BLINK/HARDSTARE*** Okayyyyyy. I went ahead and purchase the cake since I travel all the way from the west side to purchase the cake. I was disappointed. You have changed your packaging to a noticeable smaller container and a small piece of cake for $6.00. I no longer find value in your product for the price and size. Typically, I WOULD buy a piece cake and a couple of cupcakes for my family. Not anymore. Your bakery was a destination spot for my family and in the future when/if Im in Broad Ripple, I will just drive by.
If you live in Broad Ripple and need your sweet fix fast, Sweeties’ brown butter cupcake or strawberry cupcake will tide you over with a smile. However, if my only choices are oreo or red velvet…I’m walking out the door.
Ridiculous. I had an appointment with Sweeties bakery for a cake tasting for my wedding cake. I had to make it 5 weeks before my wedding because it was the only time slot they had open. They had all my information of the date, time, and what I was looking for. I received multiple phone calls from them confirming my appointment and reminding me that if I was more than 15minutes late my appointment would be rescheduled. My parents came in from out of town for the appointment. I arrived early and was seated at a table that was dirty from the night before. After waiting 15minutes after my scheduled appointment time, they told me they were booked for my wedding date and would no longer be able to provide me a cake. Now, I am scrambling to find a bakery that can accommodate my wedding 5 weeks before the date. I assumed when I booked my tasting they had reserved my spot. I don’t understand why I had to drive all the way out there when they knew they would not be able to accommodate me. The last minute thinking and lack of hospitality throughout the entire experience has made me lose all trust and respect for this bakery.
Super sweet. Red velvet cupcakes are a must!! The cream cheese icing is just right not too sweet not too bland. Cupcakes may be $3 but they are worth it. There is a Carmel chocolate cupcake that is a must share no way you can eat it by yourself in one sitting. If your near broad ripple it should be on the list to stop in.
Great Little Sweet Shop. Nice people who have great items it snack on. Was there for a surprise party which they hosted and catered. Great place to hold a party. I found the staff to be very attentive and helpful. I recommend the Red Velvet cup cakes!!
Great place to host a party!. A few of us threw one our best friends a baby shower in their rentalable space this past weekend and it is was fabulous! They were so accomodating to all our needs and not only were the cupcakes and cakepops fabulous, but so was their food! They made homemade chicken salad sandwiches that were so good I took some home with me. I would reccomend this spot to anyone wanting to throw a party, childrens party, baby shower, or bridal shower! THANKS SWEETIES for making the shower so great!
