Don’t miss it…. Used the nearby search on our last visit to Indianapolis and was pleased to find Taylor’s Pub. It was a little difficult to spot at first but worth the effort. Everything we ordered was delicious and reasonable!

Good the 2nd time around too!. Yum!went here last night for a somewhat late dinner. After our first visit we were excited to try more of their menu.breaded mushroom appetizer – They either make these in-house or they are buying a super high quality frozen food product. either way they were very very good.My husband got the tenderloin and chips. He had thoughts of those tenderloin bites from last time and was a bit disappointed because while this was a standard tenderloin… it didn’t have the same beer batter crust nor was it as juicy. He said it was still good, just not as good as he was expecting. I don’t know if they make them in-house either but the only way to improve upon the sandwich would be to use the same beer batter they use on the tenderloin bites and to make sure they don’t overcook the tenderloin to dry it out. It was served with chips.I had the Taylor Made burger, medium rare. YUM! it had fresh grilled onions and mushrooms and was served with steaming hot french fries. the burger was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. my only complaint is that the cheese, while good, tasted more like a processed cheese than a slice of real monterey jack cheese as the menu said it came with.the fries are on the small side… but not as small as Steak & Shake. They too were hot and fresh.we can’t wait to go there and try more of their meals… they have a pretty good selection from their menu.28 Jul, 2012YUM!!!. With our kitchen remodel we’re still having to eat out more. With that I told my husband i was craving grilled cheese. I was looking at local restaurants for menu’s online and found that Taylor’s pub did have a menu online… Including Grilled Cheese!!!So we went. Entrance is NOT inviting. It almost looks boarded up.When you go in, it looks like a bar… dark and dingy. not a lot of tables and there is no hostess so you seat yourself.A waitress came over and got our drink order pretty darn quick. My diet coke was a bit watered down/weak. I almost asked for her to add some grenadine to the refill but i forgot. On the menu, we both got the grilled cheese, which said it included bacon, tomato on texas toast. It was served with chips. It was huge and filled with bacon. it was just under $6 and well worth it!we weren’t sure how big the sandwich would be because a grilled cheese could be kind of tiny, so we ordered the appetizer loaded french frys (cheese and bacon, served with ranch) and an order of tenderloin squares… which tasted like house prepared beer battered tenderloin squares. Excellent!!!with the 2 appetizers, 2 sandwiches with chips and 2 drinks and tip our bill was under $35. not bad! and, if i were to go again, i know the grilled cheese is excellent by itself and well worth the $6!!!!! It is a MUST TRY!
