Go to Taza Cafe. I moved to Houston about three years ago, the capital of food diversity, and one of the things I miss about Indianapolis are the gyros from Taza Cafe. I have tried tons of places here in Houston, the best of the best Mediterranean places, and have yet to find gyros like the ones at Taza Cafe! Definitely a place I make a point of stopping by when I visit.

Great place!. Nice casual setting. Clean. Great service and even better food. Did I mention the food was awesome?! And very reasonable pricing. Will definitely be a regular customer here. Good for lunch break, dinner, or a night out on the town with friends

Shawirma Plate. (gyros meat, feta, tom, lett, marinated peppers, cucumber yogurt sauce, hot sriracha chili sauce) add extra pita bread for maximum enjoyment

Taza now has a sitdown restaurant!22 Oct, 2009Love this place.. Shwaremas are awesome! Falafels are great! Just a good place I wish this guy had a restaurant in Broad Ripple.

Excellent Middle Eastern food!. The Taza Cafe (or Gyro Joint) is one of my favorite Middle Eastern places in Indianapolis, and I love that is open late. I’ve enjoyed the Egyptian-style gyros and shawarma, and the delicious falafel is made from scratch, unlike the mix most restaurants use.
