FOOD: We went for the Devour special, which was a barbecue feast for two with ribs, brisket, sausage, pulled pork, and BBQ chicken. It also came with two sides (we picked cornbread and mac and cheese) and apple cobbler. The meat was delicious. There was more than we could eat. The cornbread and mac and cheese were fantastic, especially the mac and cheese. The BBQ sauces were good. The apple cobbler was not good.AMBIANCE: We were seated against a giant window (the whole wall is window) next to the parking lot. The cars park facing that window. Someone turned on their car and sat there in the spot for 10 minutes with their headlights shining directly at us.SERVICE: Our waitress was very inattentive. It was not busy at all. She came right over and took our drink and food orders, and our food came quickly. Five minutes after the BBQ was dropped off, someone from the kitchen came and dropped off our dessert. Which was apple cobbler with a scoop ice cream. Why would someone bring dessert five minutes after the main course came? We had barely started eating our food. So then the ice cream sat and melted. We wanted to say something to our waitress, but she never came back to our table. We finished our BBQ. Our drink glasses were completely empty. We decided to go ahead and eat the melted cobbler so we could get out of there. The cobbler honestly wouldn’t have been good even without melted ice cream. The apple slices had tough skins on them, and there were barely any oats. After we gave up on dessert, we sat there for several more minutes with empty plates and empty glasses pushed aside, waiting for someone to notice us. Our waitress eventually wandered over and asked if we were ready for our check. We said yes. She handed us the slip of paper and walked away. Did not take our dishes or notice our empty water glasses. Did not offer us more water. Did not ask how everything was.Overall, the food made up for some of the poor service, but we would not eat here again.
