BEST EVER! I was recommended this place by a door man on the strip. I started by asking the bartender (very friendly) if he could recommend a good IPA, and he said to try the Dragonfly. Good stuff. I ordered the Ossobucco, a signature pancetta-wrapped pork shank. Holy crap! This is by far the best food I’ve had in Indy, hands down. If you’re around the area, you have to stop by!

Barb. My husband and i visited indy to see our daughter and decided to eat at Usual Suspects. I had the parmesan encrusted walleye and it was one of the most delicious meals I’ve had – definitely the best I’ve ever eaten in Indy. I can’t wait to go back to Indy so we can eat there again. The service was excellent, good wine, lovely summer evening, and delicious food. Great!
Team 6R Entrant. I come to Indy 6 to 10 times a year for the races. I always make a point to stop by Usual for their Chicken pot pie and a drink or two. GREAT Experience !!!!!!!!!! Great time !!
HIDDEN TREASURE! I would have never known about Usual Suspects had my friend not invited me to a birthday party there a few years ago. Since then I have spent two of my birthdays there and countless other memorable evenings. The Osso Bucco will blow you away! And the homemade hummus made a fan out of me..who had never even liked hummus before! The best part was the friendly service, we always ask for Stacey..she remembers us and recognizes me by name..really makes me feel like Usual Suspects is my own neighborhood restaurant! !
Double the pleasure double the fun!. Usual Suspects has been a regular dining and unwinding experience for myself and many friends. From birthday parties, to beer parings, to a casual cocktail at the bar it always delivers! If you think it stops there you are WRONG! Speed up the pace a bit with a trip downstairs. I must warn you ladies, hold on to your panties cuz it’s gonna get hot down there! Casba is home to Broadripple’s sexiest bartender Ross! If you skipped dessert upstairs you’ll have a calorie free delight right behind the bar! Service with a smile 😉
Alllllways Good. We live in b rip, 2 blocks from the main strip and we have tried every restaurant a few times. We have a top 3, but I would have to say that Usual seems to be our go to place when going out for some tasty food and a nice atmosphere. I think most people view Usual as an upclass bar and a great place to meet up around 9 or 10pm. Well, their food is damn good and I highly recommend the place for DINNER! Our favorites are the Shrimp Quesadilla (my Dad orders it carry out at least twice/month – it’s addicting), their spinach artichoke CRAB dip is hands down the best spinach artichoke dip I’ve ever had (and I’m a spinach artichoke dip connoisseur, trust me), my wife is obsessed with the pork tenderloin sliders, i love their osso bucco and everything else i’ve tried. They pour their drinks strong, have a great beer selection, a really nice atmosphere, allow kids outside the bar area, have outside seating, good music, TV’s for sports, and good service (although sometimes they have been under staffed I will say). Overall I strongly feel Usual is a under rated place to eat and encourage everyone to try them out for dinner – you will be back!
