First time at El Cerrito and on the Mexican restaurant scale I have to give it 4 out of 5 chips. I had the a chicken fajita which was one of the best I have had in the Indy area outside of the legendary EL Sol. I can only hope it will be as good the second time around. The chicken was tender and the veggies were not over cooked. The salsa was maybe just a bit thin but the taste what great. My guess is they roast some of the ingredients before combining. Very tasty. Service was just right, pleasant, attentive without hovering. Nice bright dinning room with more than ample seating.
Food is pretty good but unfortunately I won’t eat here again! Three times in a row terrible service and the owner was pretty rude the last 2 times! When somebody is paying and tells you your food taste good, try saying your welcome and when you seat a table and you look at us after 5 minutes and realize nobody has been to our table do something about it instead of sitting down with a table of your friends after you get them another round of drinks yourself! Yet another place on the list in Plainfield not to eat!
I used to have another favorite Mexican restaurant behind cvs. This place is like that place was 5 years ago. The food is cooked right and the spices are perfect. Most Mexican restaurants make things salty but El Cerrito has awesome flavors in their dishes that come from onions bellpeppers and other natural ingredients. Check it out for yourself. The new place for Mexican in Plainfield.
The owners are an absolute delight. The food is fantastic and fresh.
Great tasting food and chips. Great all around experience. Best Mexican in the area. A lot of good for the money. Will be back.
Fish Tacos are delish. Food is extremely hot and fresh.
Food and service are wonderful. Order the Nachos Carbon, you won’t regret it.
