We ate here because we stayed in a nearby hotel. Service was excellent. And the sushi was even better! We had the Big Daddy roll, Dragon roll, and The Scotty roll. All were terrific. Highly recommend.
The saff is great , they are friendly . The food is good not exceptional. The wait almost always seems to be ridiculous. I stopped going after a few times. If you do go the shogun assassin is a great drink . It is tequila, saki , and madori melon . I wanted to love this restaurant because most of the staff used to work at ginza on w. 38th st and they knew me very well and we would have real conversations but i dont go here anymore.
Just had lunch and it was very good. Had the sweet shrimp.
Understaffed, food up and down (mostly down). I was overjoyed to see a sushi restaurant open in Plainfield, but the feeling didn’t last long. We entered the front door, and after walking down a long, dark hall more suitable for a brothel than a restaurant, we finally found a hostess. We were seated in a booth and waited a good 15 minutes just to place a drink order — the waitress was overworked. We eventually got some edamame, an assortment of sushi and some fried softshell crab. The crab was good but the edamame portion was the smallest I’ve ever gotten in a Japanese restaurant. The sushi was disappointing, and in particular the flying fish roe was truly awful. Half of it was bright red (probably food coloring, as fresh flying fish roe is pink), the other half brown and nasty-smelling. I couldn’t believe they would actually serve something like that. If you go here and stick with yellowfin tuna and other sushi that is more mainstream, you might have a better experience. But if your taste runs into eel and octopus and that sort of thing, stay far away…they WILL feed you fish that’s well past its prime if they can get away with it.
Great Food and Service. I am a frequent customer at Narita and the food is always excellent!!! Some people need to understand that it takes time to make the various orders and overall need to be patient. I would much rather wait a little longer and have quality food then a fast order with no care about the quality. FYI if you go request Mary!!! She always has takes good care of my family and I while we are there.
Good sushi. Rice was over cooked. Flavor good. Could have been fresher, but good.
Just had dinner here and had a pleasant experience. Enjoyed the private booths and overall atmosphere. We were attended to promptly and found our waiter to be friendly, very attentive without being overbearing. Sushi was fresh and delicious and others were pleased with their hibachi meals. I would recommend!
