Meh…. Went here years ago and tried some pasta dishes with friends and walked away with the taste of Chef Boyarde in our mouths. Figured it has been awhile, so I revisited Sal’s again for one last shot. This time, I tried the pizza, the Sal Special to be exact. Crust is decent, a thinner Papa John’s type. Sauce is average, not spiced much at all and the toppings were ok but bland in ingredients. Very much like children’s pizza places like Chuck E Cheese and Incredible Pizza Company. You could do better ordering from Donatos, while I don’t mind that chain, that is dissapointing for a ‘fresh’ pizzeria.

Love the bread and oil. The servers are always very friendly. I did have one bad experience with the Alfredo sauce tasting bad, ever since then I have avoided it. The Stromboli is delicious.

Good service by young people. Good Italian dishes as good as St. Louis or New York. Better than chain restaurant . Friendly, comfortable and clean. Wood fire pizza really good.07 Oct, 2013As good of Italian food as you can get that is fresh with many menu choices. They even have anchovies for the Ceaser salad! Try the wood fired oven pizza. Expect to pay more because it is not a fast food Italian restaurant.

Lunch. I stopped by for lunch on Tuesday. I hoped they still had the spaghetti speacial. It didn’t matter. The guy that waits tables at lunch is a joke. I got up after 10 minutes of waiting. There was one other table occupied. No excuse for this kind of service

The pizza there is adverage at best. I have eaten there a few times hoping that it was just a bad night. The pizza is very pricey for the area it is in and the overall atmosphere looks of a cheap Italian restaurant. The manager there speaks broken English. Try you luck with a complaint, cause I believe it to be useless. I was also double charged to my debit account. To no resolve I have just dismissed it. Not getting another dollar out of this pizza lover.

Mixed, but Mostly Positive. Overall: There are some things I don’t like about Sal’s but it’s still a staple for lunch near work. Lunch prices are great!Decor: It has a very standard Italian restaurant feel. It is very nice on the outside and inside, although it is nothing special.Service: It depends on the server. Sometimes they are never around, and sometimes they are very attentive.Food: I’m a little mixed on the food. I really like the pastas, bread, sandwiches, pizza rolls/calzones. However, it is really hard to get anything made to order. My friends with dietary issues cannot get many things changed. They will not change the fillings for the stuffed pizza at all. As for desserts, the cheesecake they served seemed to be out of a box, and was still frozen when we got it.
