Excellent Mexican food for excellent prices. I do not recommend take-out from the West side restaurant as it is just quicker to go inside (seriously). We have probably eaten here more than any other restaurant because we all have multiple meals we enjoy there and the prices are great! It’s quick, tasty, and affordable.
Good for a chain. We were traveling and ended up here when we hungry.The serves were very attentive which was nice.The chips were over-done… too brown. I realize they are complimentary but they just were too done to really enjoy.I ordered the chicken burrito platter and it was excellent in taste… but you can tell the chicken filling they used had been sitting in water and they dipped out some for the burrito because as it sat, my burrito’s were swimming in an almost clear puddle of liquid as the juices came out. They should have better drained the meat.My husband had a plate of tamales. he loved them. while i don’t love tamales in general, these were better tasting than i’ve had other places.My God-Daughter had one of the specials that came with a quesadilla, a chimichanga and a burrito and she loved what she ordered.overall the service and food were good, but i wouldn’t go as far to say this is the best mexican ever.El Meson back in Indy has much better food for a chain.If we ever find ourselves in Richmond again we might stop but i wouldn’t go out of my way to eat there again.

Best Mexican Food, EVER!. This location is the oldest location of El Rodeo, in Richmond. The food here is outstanding. The service is good. We tell our friends who live in Dayton to go here, and they ALWAYS go back. You want good Mexican food at a good price, this is your location! There is a reason there is a wait on Friday nights!
