Craving. I used to live in Richmond and my grandpa used to get us donuts, creme horns, and birthday cakes from joy anns. I wish we had a bakery like that here in Virginia :-(. Can anyone ship me a creme horn? this is from a pregnant lady by the way. Plain and simple this place is amazing!
Awesome. This place has been around forever but the offerings are still the same. Thumbprint cookies are outstanding as are the fruit and nut bars. Creme horns and cakes are worth while. I no longer live in Richmond but always make a trip to the bakery when in town and am never disappointed.
A great bakery!. I love the thumbprint cookies and the icing on the cakes & cupcakes. However, sometimes the cake is actually a little dry.
Cakes are so dry you have to have a drink with them just to choke them down. My children took one bite of the smiley face cookies and spit them in the trash. Natives to the area seem to enjoy the products, but I suspect it’s out of childhood memories and not based on superior, fresh, high quality food.
JOY ANN BAKERY. I no longer live in Kokomo, but I do remember Joy Ann Bakery and their wonderful creme horns. They were our treat as children. Does anyone have the recipe for these ‘wonderful’ taste of home? Thank you and if you have not gone to Joy Ann and partaken of their cream horns you have missed a wonderful experience!
Expensive, but the best! The iced sugar cookies and baklava are the best. Huge selection of items from cream horns to birthday cakes. The best.
