Cafe not restaurant. We stopped at the cafe on a Saturday afternoon. I was not thrilled. They only have 5 things on the menu, you think they would be good. I ordered gumbo and a salad. The counter person said there is enough in there for a cup. They had only been open for an hour. Why would you not attend to that. Of course it tasted burnt. The salad was flavorless. My wife ordered the salad with chicken. The chicken was over cooked the breading was wet with oil. The oil obviously needed changed. Just an all around lack effort on their part. Unfortunately, this is the gateway to dining at their restaurant, which I will not do. Sorry.

A hidden gem. What a total surprise during my visit to Fort Wayne, Indiana, to find this restaurant that is a 5 star in my book in Roanoke, Indiana. The food & service were some of the best I’ve had ever in my life’s experience eating all over the world. I totally didn’t expect this caliber of restaurant in this small town. The salad, entre and desert rank in the top five restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. It wasn’t a low cost meal but well worth the wonderful dinner and service we had. We will return every time we visit family in Indiana. I wouldn’t miss it for the world.

Meh. We started off with the roasted cauliflower and brussel sprouts appetizer which was one the best things I’ve ever had. It was delicous. I thought if the cauliflower is this good, what is the beef going to taste like?!? Well we were immediately dissapointed to find out that the only size you could order that night was 5 ounces. Really? My husband is not a small man and was not impressed with this at all. We both ordered the ribeye and the cut of meat was really tender and had good, not great, flavor, but $50 for a 5 ounce steak is a bit much for a steak that was nowhere close to the best we’ve ever had. Our server was extremely slow and the restuarant was not very busy at all. Overall, the food was decent, but not at all worth the price and the overall experience just left us dissapointed. Probably will not go back.

Tried to set up a group reservation for lunch. Thru the process the lady was extremely rude and will never go back.

My husband and I have wanted to make time for a drive to this place since we tried the Waygu beef sliders at last Years Dig-IN. We both got the six course tasting menu with the wine pairings. The food was wonder, our server was wonderful. And the server that brought and explained all the wine was wonderful and gave us a wine list to help us remember what we like and help us purchase future wine.

The food is good but the portions are made for an ant! They are so small!

I’m not sure people get this place. Yes, it is expensive. No, it is not a good value dinner. Take money out of the equation, and you have a culinary experience awaiting you at Joseph Decuis. And you get to stare at a weird picture of Jeff Goldblum looking at you if you’re in the corner. Where to begin… Charcuterie Board: It’s cured meats, pretty straight forward. Strauss Farm Veal Sweetbreads: A must get. Absolutely delicious. Polenta Rustica: Very good polenta. I’d lose the truffle oil, as it’s way too hack for a place that can stand on its own. Lobster bisque: Very good, but I prefer Baker Street’s. Joseph Decuis Wagyu Farm Beef : Wagyu is definitely better than any other beef you will have. You have to at least try it once. Porcini-Portabella Mushroom Ravioli: Very good. Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Cake: I don’t like dessert, I hate dark chocolate, and yet this was amazing. Talented chefs can make anything taste good, especially when they have amazing ingredients. JD’s has both.
