The food is always great! I’ve tried just about everything on the menu. Have them cater for you and a special occasion that you have. The BBQ SA sauce is great and there are several to choose from, I love the raspberry one.
This establishment is no longer a dine-in or take-out restaurant, only a caterer and a food truck. The pulled pork is so overpowered by cumin that it is inedible. The rack of ribs are not tender, and are laden with a half inch of uncaramelized fat. They no longer serve Alabama White Barbecue Sauce, and the sauce they provide is also laden with cumin. Sadly, this experience was a $50+ disappointment.
Flying Pink Pig is as good as BBQ gets!Looking for BBQ to die for? Then Flying Pink Pig is your answer. My fianc and I were thrilled when Rhonda Schwein, FPPs bubbly catering manager and co-owner, enthusiastically agreed to cater our wedding rehearsal dinner. Meat lover or vegetarian, their delicious menu delivered something for everyone. Throughout the evening our guests reveled at how the pulled pork and beef brisket melted in their mouths. Pit Master Dennis really knows how to smoke em! And the side dishes delivered a true infusion of flavor. We indulged in their summer berry salad w/organic greens, BBQ baked beans, and pasta salad w/ farm to table vegetables. Not to mention the Swedish mashed potatoes which were out of this world. Our taste buds never had it so good! Even more fabulous than the food was the service. We couldnt ask for more vibrant and gracious hosts than Rhonda and Tiffany. They even went to the trouble of matching their aprons with our red and white checkered table linens. Now thats putting the customer first!Ask — no demand — that Flying Pink Pig cater your next event. You wont be sorry!
Just happened to stumble onto this place. So glad I did. Best kept secret in Seymour Indiana. The smell of smoked meat hits your senses as soon as you open the door. Almost too hard to order because of all the drooling you do while waiting. I ordered the smoked bologna and provolone sandwich along with two sides a la carte. Big sandwich-small price. It could have been enough for two adults or four small children. The menu isn’t overwhelming in size which allows for attention to be given to the items available. So many places say they have great Mac and cheese. This place is a true winner with seven cheeses, bacon and heavy cream. If you don’t stop to try this place out you’ve truly missed a great opportunity for great food made with thought and love.
I can’t believe I waited so long to try this amazing BBQ spot! It’s from scratch sides, meats smoked out back and the nicest people ever. The owner came out to chat with and check on us since this was our first visit. I can’t wait to come back and start working my way through the menu!
Pulled pork. We stopped by on a road trip to Bedford. The place is housed in a very small building with only 3-4 indoor tables. This appears to be mostly a catering business and there was a limited menu when we arrived about 4:45. However, we all ordered the pulled pork BBQ sandwich to go (1/3 or 1/2 lb) and thought it was outstanding. Hopefully, at some point, we’ll have the chance to explore some of their other menu items!
Friendly people, good BBQ. A couple weeks ago my family and I placed a fairly large order to the Flying Pink Pig. When we arrived we were greeted kindly by the people who run the joint. They were super friendly. To go along with their down home customer service, their food couldn’t be better! We had ordered almost everything on their lunch menu and it was so good. The pulled pork sandwiches were the best I have ever had. And their sides were all very good. The Mac and Cheese was really good and their Purple Potatoes were reminiscent of potatoes from my childhood. I think the piece du resistance is the homemade BBQ sauce. You could put that on a leather boot and I would eat it! We did’t order the loaded nachos and regret not ordering them after seeing someone who had. For a small town this is definitely a hidden gem that won’t stay hidden for too long.
