My wife and I have enjoyed their restaurant many times but…on 12/06/2013 we had terrible food and service. It may be becuse we were in the basement!,We know it will be the last time we will eat there. The chicken was weird peices and not fresh and small servings. Have they changed their management?

Very good Amish style restaurant. Wife ordered pot roast beef dinner. The serving was huge and tasty. She had leftovers for a couple days. I had the country sampler dinner , which was very good. Server was very friendly and helpful.

I shld add that service is always very friendly!13 Jul, 2012Overpriced, standard home cooking (nothing spectacular and a cple times it wasnt good at all …. Dry & overcooked). And each time i have been here they were out of my 1st AND 2nd dessert choice. When we visit Shipsh, i wish we had more options but am def going to try some place else next time!

Good food, but higher priced. Took a group of six to this place couple weekends ago, and while much enjoyed the fried chicken and side of mashed potatoes / gravy, and the compadres liked their services of beef, soup, wraps, and soup, the price to value ratio wasn’t quite there… didn’t help mood either that waitress was not the friendliest. And that was before a couple of us growled displeasure that just three of us couldn’t order the AYCE chicken, unless everyone at the table did… And that is wrong on couple levels – first off, the other three in our party were not AYCE people, and secondly if this establishement is going to tout their religion, then wouldn’t they trust their patrons? The food however, as stated, is good. Might have a bit of a wait… they serve 1000 – 1500 people, per day…. but the line does go fairly fast. Worth a visit, at least once,,, but take care if not everyone is wanting the AYCE selection.

Over Priced. Over priced and I didn’t like the long wait. There is more than one restaurant in that one-horse town.
