Valentines Day Dinner. We just returned from a wonderful dinner at Carmela’s. The food was wonderful and the service was outstanding. It was very busy considering the date but the staff kept up with the guest and service was prompt and on time.
Wonderful family meal for 8. The restaurant was packed, yet service was impeccable. We enjoyed the osso bucco, spinach ravioli, and veal piccatta. Warm bread was lovely. My only suggestion would be to change up the house dressing – I thought it was too sweet.
Service not so great. But they make it up with the meal!
Love the very lean Italian beef with gardiniera (sp?) and au jus, on a great roll. The Caprese salad or sandwich is equally good, if tomatoes are in season. For dessert, amble out to Macri’s bakery :). At the deli, the fresh mozzarella ball salad and cured olive medley, with a Sicilian turkey and provolone panini are yummy!
Great Italian food. This is our go to place when we want great home made Italian food. Try the Arancini for appetizer. Chicken scallopini or Marsala. And the lasagna. Wow.Dinners come with salad or soup and unlimited fresh baked bread.For dessert, I would go to the macri’s bakery attached to the restaurant unless Carmela has made her ricotta cheesecake. Service is good, the ambiance is lively with a decor of a Tuscan outdoor restaurant.
Absolutely superb.
Great Food, Better Atmosphere. First things first, the cappuccinos and biscotti are awesome. I love this place. The linguini with clams is the best I’ve ever had- I’ve had a lot. Service is good and the food comes out quick. We take all of our friends there. The restaurant is designed so that you have your own area under Tuscan arches. Bring enough people and you get to sit at a large round table away from everyone in the corners of the restaurant. If your looking for amazing food at a reasonable price, Carmela’s is the place to go.
