Best Chinese food in the area. I have tried almost every Chinese food restaurant in the South Bend area, and I am convinced that China House is the best. I have been going there ever since they opened and, although it is not the classiest restaurant, the food is delicious and the owner is very nice. When I was going there regularly, I would call and she would immediately recognize me and ask me if I wanted my usual order. The lo mein here is my favorite, and I have never found another Chinese food place that actually makes lo mein taste good.
I eat here all the time!. I live close to China House, so during the summer, I usually order lunch there for my friends and I. You can get a quart of sweet and sour chicken and 6 crab cheese wontons, and 2 cans of pop for about $12, which is more than enough to feed two people. Really, for the price, this place is awesome.
The amount of food for the price can’t be beaten. The quality of the food isn’t the best Chinese food out there, but for take out is great. The staff is very friendly and I’ve never waited more than ten minutes!
Our favorite Chinese place!. We eat here EVERY Friday and have never once been disappointed. The food is what you’d expect from a standard Chinese place, maybe a step above others. But what really stands out is the friendly staff and the large portions. I happily give them my business every week.
