Just OK. I ate lunch here about 10 years ago and had a great meal. This time around we stopped for dinner. Food was pretty good, nothing outstanding but it seemed a little pricey. The jury is out on returning here for dinner. I might give it one more chance.

Mediocre food. It’s an ok lunch place – most of the food isn’t prepared the way you asked it too i.e. steak. Most of the foods there just has no taste to them. Every time I order a soup with my meal it’s luke warm. Just nothing there impresses me to continue to go into that place.

Emporium. I just love their chicken salad pita. The emporium is one of my favorite places for lunch. Their sauteed mushrooms are very good also.

Didn’t enjoy the meal. I recently dined at the Emporium for the first time in years. The interior doesn’t appear to have changed in the last 20 years. I ordered a steak cooked medium. My dinner guest order a steak rare. I was disappointed when both steaks were served very well done (dry and brown inside). We sent the steaks back. The second set of steaks were still very overcooked with little flavor. Overall it was very disappointing.

The emporium is a great place for a business lunch in downtown South Bend right on the river. It’s well known for its chicken salad pita.
