I used to frequent ewing cafe quite often before it changed ownership and i must say that the fellow that owns it now only caters to a certain crowd because it’s not essentially in a great neighborhood. i don’t go there simply because they charge way too much on their prices and drink prices are outrageous! food is marginal at best and the servers and bartenders and wait staff aren’t very friendly either. more like the owner only serves his friend regulars and locks every other who wants to come in out which isn’t cool with me. i believe in not dealing with riff raff being a former bar owner myself but i am amazed his business stays open and is surviving with the way he treats clientele…fyi the owners name is jason and he is a major jerk! steer clear of the ewing cafe because it’s not a good bar at all! kelly’s pub is much better and more lively on mishawaka avenue by farmers market i recommend there for great food and great service…you’ll have a little louder atmosphere but it’s more lively and the people are more friendly there with better service and lower prices and the quality of drinks and food is better too!
