Easily the best and most authentic Mexican food in South Bend. Do not let the facade of Huichi fool you, this place has outstanding food. Everything on the menu is done to the liking of Patty (owner and chef). From the expected Mexican plates to the regional Huastecan specialties, the ingredients are fresh and the food is delicious. Do not expect outstanding service and attention , but do expect a home-cooked meal prepared by Patty and her family. Order several plates and share with a small group. Also, don’t forget to ask for specials because there are always plates not listed on the menu.
