My second Kilwin’s to visit with a group of four. Rating is more for their chocolates then their ice cream. Large selection of unique chocolates and fudges–similar to the original Kilwin’s in Petoskey MI. Overall, pretty nice place to visit and full of college kids and their parents.
My favorite ice cream shop in South Bend! Love stopping by here whenever I go to Eddy Street! My favorite flavors would be Sea Salt Caramel and Banana Fudge Pie! Definitely worth the calories.
This was my first time in a Kilwin’s. I had two types of ice cream, the Chocolate Peanut Butter and the Kilwin’s Mud (vanilla ice cream, caramel swirl, and chocolate shavings), and they were both amazing! The candy, homemade chocolate, and fudge looked amazing as well, but is a little expensive (as is usually the case with these types of homemade candy shops).
Good ice cream, but pricey. This ice cream is terrific, but honestly a little too expensive to go very often. A special occasion or when family is in town, stop on by. But 4$ for an ice cream cone is a little much. It is creamy and well made though. Friendly staff. And ND discount on Fridays.
Getting greedy. We are very regular customers but noticed lately that they are getting skimpy on their scoops!And price is high for a scoop!Probably going to cut back on going there dramatically because of this! :(It’s a shame because they have amazing ice cream but you can order better ice cream from Jeni’s splendid and get a whole pint for less!! Kilwins needs to quit weighing scoops!!! That just looks bad and makes customer feel like you are just trying to make more money and are greedy! And be more generous with your scoops!!!! I
Try the turtles and the fudge. They make homemade caramel and have caramel apples, turtles, caramel and chocolate dipped rice krispie treats, and pretzels. And there is always the ice cream. :-)Great place to satisfy your sweet tooth!
