Not terrible, just not my kind of place. Not a huge fan. The place is a little pricey and the inside is pretty run-down, a little sketchy maybe. Disorganized and unprofessional a bit. The food was good, my wife enjoyed it much more than me. I’d recommend getting it to go, don’t eat in. And come early, because when they run out of meat, they close up.

Best BBQ!!. I write very few reviews but this place is worth mentioning. We have tried several BBQ places from Mishawaka to Niles and was greatly disappointed. We read reviews on Pitts and thought we would try out. The owner is delightful, he treats you like family. He gave us a sample of ribs and we was hooked! The was tender and melted in your mouth , the sauce was perfect. Pitts coleslaw and greens also wonderful he gave them as much detail as ribs. Please try you will not disappointed.
Gives BBQ a bad name!. Waited 30 minutes and paid 10 bucks for obviously reheated old rib tips that were very tough and bland with some cold generic sauce poured over them and a soggy piece of white bread on the bottom. Never again.
Good food. I admit the place itself is not much but the food is very good. I sampled the ribs and they had great taste and good smoke. i had the brisket for lunch and it was also very good and tender. the bbq sauce is spicy but a little sweet as well. probably a place best for take out.
Excellent BBQ. Walking in Chef Bob automatically hands you a free sample of tips. Excellently moist and the BBQ sauce out of this world. They only seem to have 1 BBQ sauce that was slightly sweet with a little bite afterwards. So, so tasty! The brisket was excellent as were the ribs. Would definitely go back again when visiting South Bend. Also, Chef Bob is a very friendly and bbq knowledgable man!
