First time visit with a so-so experience. Rather than focus on a single review rating I will rate several factors:Pricing & Parking – Excellent! 5/5Decor – Homey, minimal and clean. Great job! 5/5Staff – Rather unpleasant today. They didn’t go out of their way to make us feel welcome. Maybe something had happened? Our waitress was not rude, but definitely not friendly – just there to do a job – and same with the owners. 3/5Overall Food – Only the soup tasted homemade. Good presentation. 3/5Food details: Appetizer- 6 piece chicken tenders with choice of dip – Likened by my friend (only one to try this since it came moments before the main meal) as okay, but more like something you get in the frozen section at the grocery.Dinner 1 – 21 piece shrimp with fries and soup of the day which was potato-cabbage-carrot soup. He doesn’t like cabbage, but ate all the soup and said he liked it. The fries were very good and hot on arrival. The shrimp was okay, but like something you could get in the frozen section at the grocery.Dinner 2 – Fried tenderloin sandwich with fries and soup. Again the fries were good. They were hot and fresh. The tenderloin was fair and not something I would get again. It was somewhat bland, too thin and a little dry. It was served with a strange slick bun which I did not like at all. I do not agree with the vote for best tenderloin (I have had tenderloins from many restaurants in the area). My vote still goes to Boos Crossroads Cafe for tenderloins despite theirs being smaller. The soup was good, but I did prefer the main course over it.
