I see all these ‘great food, horrible service’ comments and I see what they are talking about. There were more empty tables than full ones and it took 45 minutes to get the server to take our order, another 45 minutes to get our food. The food is good and if you are not hungry it’s a good place. It’s pretty expensive, $12-15 for a burger! I probably won’t be back. If they can’t handle a half empty restaurant I hate to imagine when it’s busy.
Decent food. But horrible service! Not sure where our waitress was the entire time. And the place was not busy at all. Very disappointed in this place
Really bad… Ate here recently and the chicken was WAY under cooked. We aren’t the type of people to complain, but we won’t be returning
Sad change in quality. Mogger’s was one our favorite restaurants in a city devoid of good places to eat. We went on a Saturday night and found it odd they were at 50% capacity at 7:30. There was a 15 minute wait due to issues in the kitchen, on a slow night. Appetizers were still good, but the entrees are now horrid. My wife’s chicken came with cold mashed potatoes and room temp rice. I ordered my favorite pizza, typically with a thin and crisp crust. It arrived missing four topppings and the crust was still wet and under cooked. The server was polite, but we only saw her twice after ordering. Not usually a big issue, unless it takes an hour to get entrees on a slow night. One nice guy cleaning tables actually stopped by to check on us at one point. We were told three times by the hostess that the manager had been told, yet he or she couldn’t take a second to talk to us in the two hours we were there. After it took twenty minutes to get a check just to end a bad night, the hostess gladly informed us that we got 50% off appetizers. Taking half off the cheapest things on the check, that actually tasted better than the entrees, was a truly amateur move. Moggers was one of my favorite places, but it seems that the new management will destroy it through poor service, low quality food, and ending what was a dedication to a great dining experience. It is sad to watch someone destroy a wonderful business by cutting corners to save money and ignoring the importance of competent staff.
Love Moggers but I don’t understand the owners way of thinking!!! They continue to bring in new managers that have never worked there before and wonder why they have no success from it. I mean come on people if you have a manager willing to step into a position to help you out why would you not consider them as gm instead of bringing someone in? I believe her name is Jaime and she has worked there for years. Every time I see her she is working a lot harder then anyone else and she has made the place look great. New signs and neons wonderful beer selection and none of this was happening before she was in charge. I’m not sure how the management endures the treatment they receive from the owners. You also have a kitchen manager that has a drinking problem and anger issues but he’s great in your eyes maybe you should do some more researching before he runs all of your customers and employees away!?! Sincerely a Terre Haute native that doesn’t agree.17 Jul, 2013I love the new menu. I went there recently and had the best service I have had in Terre Haute in a long time. The atmosphere you will not find any where else and the food is great. I will be back keep it up Moggers!
Had a great experience eating here. Awesome atmosphere, great food, and friendly service!
