We met up with our friends from the East Coast for dinner and drinks at Sonka. It was a half-way point for everyone, distance-wise. Since we were traveling with our pet parrot, we called ahead to make sure that she would be allowed inside. Not only did they allow her inside, but she was able to come out of her carrier, sit on a perch and really enjoy herself with the rest of us. We really enjoyed the fish with spicy Leprechaun sauce and Black & Bleu burgers. For dessert we shared a plate of Shamrock Stones with ice cream because no one had enough room for dessert but we all wanted to try them! The waiter kept the wine and craft beers flowing for us all evening. We couldn’t have been happier! Can’t wait until we get to come back through Terre Haute again — We will certainly stop by Sonka Irish Pub again!
Extremely tranquil for a pub. Although I am still unfamiliar with alcoholic beverages, especially of the beer variety, the waitress was extremely helpful in assisting me in my drink selection. I opted for a raspberry lambic ale called Framboise Lambic. It was sweet and tart. I will definitely have to try the float they have using the lambic.

Great food, wide selection of beer, great staff and owners. I come here often. Great deals most days and burger and brew on saturday.
