I always order sopes. Meatless, with avocado. They are perfect. I always order two and end up taking one home.
Never Again. Stopped in a few days ago and ordered a meal and water. Good food once again. However when I went to pay the bill he charged me an extra $2.23. This was over and above the price of the meal and tax. When I asked what the extra money was for he offered no explanation. How many others are being ripped off by this business? I will never again visit this place. There are other Mexican restaurants in town that serve good food and value their customers.16 Apr, 2012Worth a visit. Stopped at this place – first time back in several months. Enjoyed the food and service. Have not had a bad meal in all of my visits. Give it a try – it is worth a visit.

Steady. I’ve been going to El Amigo since they opened about 12 years ago and one thing can be said of this place… quality unchanged. It was great then and remains great now. Friendly service, great food and lots of repeat customers. If you’re reading this trying to decide whether or not to go there, GO! You’ll love it!
Maybe I’m the only one…. But I don’t like the food or the service here. They are chinsy with the chips and drink refills. They bring you one half-full basket of bad tasting chips for 4-5 people and charge you extra for any more. You can only get one drink refill. They also charge extra for anything special you want on your burrito such as onion or tomato. I also ordered sour cream and it was warm and spoiled. I hope I don’t get sick from the few bites I took.
Reasonable prices. Nice people. Good food. Like it a lot.
