Delicious pizza. When I first had this, oh, about a decade ago at the County Line restaurant on Route 6, I have to say it was probably one of the three best pizzas I’ve ever had, along with Bazbeaux in Indy and my childhood favorite, Flamingo in Miller Beach.It IS a bit more expensive, but if you’ve a got a few extra bucks, spend them.
Best Pizza’s ever.. This is by far the best pizza l have ever had. My only complaint is that because of where l live delivery is not an option.If your ever out toward Schereville, Indiana on 41 S. of route 30 you owe it to yourself to stop at Pascales. Their pizza’s are outstandiing!
Good Stuff. Good food, good service, good atmosphere… what more could you ask? How about some lower prices? Oh well, it was worth a shot.Gel’s pizza has a unique taste that sets it apart from others in NWI. It is on my short list of slam dunk restaurants in the region and definitely one of my top two or three pizza joints. We like the crust and a mad scramble ensues to lay claim to the edge pieces when it arrives. Sunday past was our most recent sampling and I found myself again attempting to cram just one more piece into my already packed mouth. Because the pizza is cut into little squares, one runs the risk of always believing another piece will fit. I agree with other reviewers that it is relatively expensive but the consistently full dining room says that Valpo wil continue to pay for quality even in a dismal economy.
The best thing about their pizza is the sauce! The best pizza sauce I’ve ever had! Slightly sweet, tomatoey, and delicious! Their fried zucchini is also amazing. I have to eat here every time we are in town visiting the in laws!
This pizza is the closest to chicago pizza as it gets.They always make u a great pizza .HANDS DOWNBEST IN TOWN.
Hearty, tasty pizza. We have thoroughly enjoyed Gelsosomo’s each time we’ve ordered carry-out or dined in. They have some of my favorite pizza in NW Indiana; it is fairly heavy, though, so bring a healthy appetite (and perhaps some Tums)! It’s a great throwback to the era of the American pizza joint, and always makes me nostalgic for going out for pizza on Friday nights with my family as a kid. Food is great, service has always been quick (not spectacular, but decent)…definitely a good pick if you’re in the mood for flavorful, hearty pizza!
Outstanding pizza nice cross between NYC and Pullman. Crust works, sausage high quality. Thank goodness my brother in law lives here and saved us from the imitators!
