Rib tipsIf I could give this place negative stars I would. I had these rib tips for dinner on 17 January 2016. When I first started eating them I knew they had a taste that reminded me of my childhood of many years past. That was the taste of charcoal cooked burgers saturated with lighter fluid by a well meaning father. These rib tips were absolutely saturated with lighter fluid to the point that both my brother and I endured upset stomachs for a little while. I can’t say for sure why they chose to cook with lighter fluid saturated coals except to guess that they either rushed cooking, reheating or adding a char to the ribs.Maybe it was an off day or a very lazy Sunday, but avoid the rib tips until there are several positive reviews or forever. This place might do other things well, but their rib tips are not only disgusting, they are potentially dangerous to your health.
Great!. All the times I went here during my college days and every time since have been very good. I haven’t had a better gyro in NW Indiana.. every other place is a disappointment in comparison. Get the gyro platter- you wont be disappointed. Their burgers with caramelized onions are legit too. The constant construction lunch crowd is a good indicator of solid food at a cheap price.
Avoid. Poor quality product. Extra charge for extra peppers. $0.75 for feta? Really? Pickles are made using recycled pickle juice. And the lady behind the counter, wow. If you don’t like people don’t work in a job that required you to talk to and be around people. Like others have mentioned, it’s dirty, smells like old used oil and it baffles the mind how anyone could say its good. What it has going for it is minimal competition in its space and a lot of years of being right there.
