Great food and Service. Meet my cousins and had my 90 year old mother with us. Back room was private and the food was great. Wait staff was extremely friendly and didn’t mind us taking our time while sharing some old stories. My wife had a great salad – everyone was extremely happy with the quality of the food.
The owner is a rude jackass! And his alcohol is way overpriced. Do not spend your hard earned money here.
I have been going to Semento’s for years and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is great if you are 21 or 80. The staff is incredibly personable and patient, the food is great, and they have a lot to keep you occupied if you decide to hang around awhile. I love the Italian beef and the cheese fries, and you can get great deals dependent upon which day of the week you go. If you do decide to stick around when you’re done eating, then they have an internet juke box, pool tables, dart boards, and a patio to enjoy in the warmer months. I’ve had nothing but good times there whether I drink alcohol or soda, and I’ve never been hassled by any of the ownership for not drinking or for being a woman.
Stay away. If you care about good atmosphere, good food, and good service stay far away. Never have I been treated so poorly by an owner of a restaurant. With all the great restaurants in Valpo don’t waste your time on Sementos.
As bars go.. I was totally surprised and satisfied at the same time!Food was excellent, service was exceptional and the place was clean. I generally prefer bars and taverns to cafes or lounges, this cafe changed my mind about that!It’s both at the same time.You are definetly only a stranger there once!
