Not as good as it used to be.. Stopped by here it was a huge dissapointment. seemed dirty, old and rundown. the food took a long time and the bill was high. the quality of the food isnt what it used to be either.
Average but hard working. First of all, I would like to give a shout out to the cook. He is the owner’s father. He works hard. I know they get most of their food from farm boy but they make it work. Family owned restaurants always get my respect when done right.3/5 stars
Disappointing. Silver Bells claim to fame is their family style meals.A group of us called and made reservations on a Thursday night. When we got to the restaurant, and placed our order for family style, we were told there wasn’t enough food prepared for family style. They were also out of other dishes on the menu. Service was slow because there was only one waitress for the entire dining room. The fried food was fried until it was hard. One in our party didn’t get his food until almost everyone else was done eating. It was a disaster. Needless to say our group won’t be returning anytime soon if ever.
Great neighborhood eatery. Love silver bell and its close to home, they have the best stroms I have ever had! Must try!!!!
Good food. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and atmosphere of the Silver Bell restaurant. The restaurant has a larger family room and also a bar area, which permits smoking. It was a bit of a drive to the St. Wendell area from Evansville, but everyone in our group was pleased with their meals and the service. Most of the group opted for the Family Style, which was your choice of vegetables and a meat. Everything looked and tasted good. Although I still prefer the Log Inn’s homestyle food, the Silver Bell is a nice option when your looking for some home cooking.
Smoking permitted in the bar.20 Mar, 2009This place serves family style, pizza, sandwiches, beer& full bar. Fried fish & ham family style was what our group had. All food was fried perfectly. I enjoyed the fried cod and folks from my group really liked the fried fiddlers was equal. Dinner was about $15 per person. We’ll be going back!
