Oh my word, YES.. I live walking distance, so I go here pretty much whenever budget allows me to. Portions are ENORMOUS, food is amazing and authentic and absolutely the best thai you can get in town. My usual is the sukiyaki, but experimentation with the menu and trying new things is almost always rewarded in vast amounts of delicious food. The place is a hole in the wall, but it’s one I love and hold very close to my heart.
Wonderful. I’ve been to Mahnin three times now and it has become one of my favorites. Parking is sometimes a challenge however, I would walk half a city during the winter to get there if I had to. Good portions, good prices and good food. I highly recommend the Nom tok, the flavors are very balanced between the sour, salty, savory, and sweet from the rice.
Delicious!. I hadn’t been there in a few years (I was out of Fort Wayne), but I went back with my parents tonight and got the same great experience I’d had before. They take cards for purchases over ten dollars now, and there are new menus–not just the laminated ones from a few years ago. Also, I believe they’re open on Tuedays now. Our appetizer was the shrimp rolls, and my entree was the coconut noodle soup with chicken. Both were delicious. As everyone says, the portions are large. I’m glad that one of my favorite restaurants is still open after all the time I’ve been gone.
Best pad siew in Fort Wayne, and most reasonably priced. I’ve tried them all.
Love the place. We’ve eaten at Mahnin three times and love the food,now we always stop in there when we shop the awesome asian market across the street.
Amazing!. This place may not be the more swanky place in town but the food is so good and one of a kind! Hands down best place in the area!
Fun Burmise Thai Family Owned Restaurant. We had a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. There was a 40 minute wait for our food because a big group came in just before us. We didn’t mind because our waitress brought out some rice and chicken in broth for our toddler and some hot tea for us. She told us she used to bring her daughters in when she worked but now they were older and didn’t want to come anymore. Clearly this is a family owned and family friendly place.I had the green curry and asked for it mild thinking I would share with the kid. I like spicy and was prepared to be a little disappointed at missing out. Mild was actually a really nice amount of spice, if it was any hotter I don’t think I would have enjoyed it as much. The little one was full rice and chicken so I didn’t have to share with her and got it all to myself. Next time I’m trying the massaman curry. My husband ordered one of the noodle dishes in a medium spiciness and it was slightly hotter than my mild. The vegetables were fresh and cooked well. The beef was sliced thin and had good flavor. We will go back.
