The Oyster Bar is a top pick. I would recommend reservations for tables at the front of the restaurant. It’s very small and quite cozy, so I personally only like to go with a few guests. The waitstaff is always so friendly and the food is consistently good. They usually have several different specials & the regular menu offers a lot of choices too. I’ve never had a bad meal & if I did, I know they would make it right. I’ve always felt that they care & truly want you to enjoy their restaurant.
My fianc had the blue hypnotic martini, which she loved. I had a Manhattan which definitely packed a punch. The oysters were good and the crab was fantastic! The lamb was tender and favorable. The server (Joan) was friendly and attentive. A great night out!
Good stuff. Tuna app was awesome. I had Scallops and grouper. The grouper was very good but smaller than I thought it would be. The scallops we superb served on a bed of risotto. It was overall awesome and I’ll be back
The menu listed here is wrong!. Not the right menu….not even close!
Loved it. My wife and I went to the oyster bar and were thoroughly impressed. Had escargot, some raw oysters I had the red grouper Oscar style. My wife took advantage of the half and half option. You can choose two entrees and they give you a split serving for a $2 up charge, not a bad deal. I can’t tell you what she ordered because I was totally engulfed in my fish. Nice portion well prepared, I left happy. Oysters were large and clean, escargot was tasty. My wife was thrilled as well and had to take some home with her. We are relocating to the area and this will be in the short list of dining choices.
OLD BLOND WAITRESS NEEDS TO GO. This is our go to place for special occasions. Fort Wayne has many restaurants but none any good. It`s the unfortunate truth here in the Fort. The Oyster Bar used to be the BEST place in the city. Unfortunately, the blond old waitress doesn`t appreciate repeat costumers. She is rude and very off putting. The food has gone down hill too. The Cesar salad was obviously prepared for valentines day several days before. Our meal sucked, sucked, sucked. Come on Oyster bar, you are better than this!!!I tip VERY well despite poor food. NEVER again. Get rid of the old waitress. She has a affect on future customer returned business. She blamed the owner for screwing up our reservations. Classy.I made a reservation for my wife`s birthday and they didn`t acknowledge it. WTF? They always did before. The cook left before we did. What does that tell you? Man has this place changed. Going down hill. So sad!!! Another Fort Wayne institution down the drain.
Food good, but those shrimp..I dunno
