This is one of my favorite places in the city! I usually get the special: Chicken, rice and pinto beans and it has never disappointed. You get a nice portion for the price and the owner always remembers me no matter how long it’s been since I’ve been in. Aside from the special, the shrimp mofongo and sweet fried plantains are a couple of my other favorites. If you’re looking for a new place to try in Fort Wayne, check the place out!

After awhile. I haven’t gone to Tropic Chicken in a very long time… but I must say it is as good maybe better than what I remember. Now more people are working and the service is even faster. They have added a large number of new items. I am simply impressed by the way the business has grown throughout the years. I will admit it is my favorite restaurant.28 Jan, 2014BEST FOOD EVER!. Why are you guys so amazing? the food, the people, everything. I can’t tell you how much I love it and for the price it’s amazing. I wish I could go there every single day. I love the taste of the food, it’s nothing like Mexican food or Cuban food its so much better. Me and My best friend came in and she’s Dominican and she said the food makes her feel like she’s back at home. Best service I have had in a long time. I loved the Cuban sandwich ! LOVE IT!!!!!!

Gone downhill. Used to love this place. Went there at least once a week but since the nice guy who ran it is not there much anymore and some woman is running it it is not the same. Last time I got raw chicken – yes raw..bleeding in the middle so I cannot go back sorry.20 Feb, 2014Love it. A hidden gem in Fort Wayne. You can have a great meal for $5 and the owners are soooo nice! Thanks for opening here!

User reviews. Coming from Puerto Rico and being around a lot of Dominican food, the food here did not taste that good. It was ridiculously bland.
