Mini cupcakes-not anything close to the flavors I ordered. I just ordered 2 dozen mini cupcakes for a bridal shower. I was on Advocare 24 day challenge so I didn’t eat any BUT I asked some of my guests, what flavor did you get? There response was chocolate or vanilla or lemon. I then asked, did you taste the raspberry that was supposed to be with the lemon? NO Did you taste strawberry flavor that was to be with the chocolate? NO. Jenna pointed out a speck of red color in her chocolate one but said she couldn’t taste anything but choccolate. WELL I paid extra for the so called extra flavors other than vanilla or chocolate. SO then my sister in laws both shared their recent BAD experiences with them and that the staff was rude and seemed inconvenienced that they had to get stuff from the case. SOOOOOOO my daughter gets married next JULY. THIS place is OFF the list as a wedding cake possibility. I tried to save driving to Mammaw’s Sweet Shop because it was out of the way and Bakers Peak was close to home. UMMMMMMM next time it will be worth the gas and I can’t WAIT for Gigi’s cupcakes to get here TOO. BYE BYE Bakers PEAK……HELLO Mammaw’s and GIgi’s. Let the cake taste testing begin for wedding prep.
Used to go often til put off by owner, who was extremely rude. Stopped by while out Christmas shopping on a whim, and was pleasantly surprised. They were very busy, and obviously frazzled, but very friendly. Come to find out they are under new ownership. It looks the same, but certainly didnt feel the same! Owner came out when things slowed down and spoke to several of us. Much more like a family atmosphere. Ended up staying awhile having a conversation with the owner, and the waitress, and taking home several bakery treats for desert. Will definitely go back.
Pretty cakes, difficult owners.. I’ve stopped in to Baker’s Peak a few times, once to just look around once for cupcakes. Their cakes are very nice if somewhat simple and the cupcakes were fabulous… cookie dough was amazing! Both times I’ve gotten the impression from the owners that they have no time for their customers and are somewhat haughty. I haven’t gone back mostly because of the rude treatment by the owners. Good products though!
