  Best Bar on Campus. Jake’s is a great place, especially in the summer for the drink specials, dirt cheap drink specials that is. The drinks are decent, not the strongest, but at the price get a double and it’s still the cheapest bar! The food is great, and half priced appetizers makes even eating there cheap. It is a bar, and after 9 pm if your license is expired or even broken it’s not valid. Some of the bouncers can be rude at times, as they get a God complex because they have a little power, go before 9 pm and you don’t have to worry about them. Oh and unlike other bars, the place looks clean!

  Will Never Recommend. I have been to Purdue a few times visiting friends that school there, celebrating my own 21st bday as well as friends, Breakfast Clubs, and have been to Jake’s many of those times. My recent visit to this establishment was an extremely negative one to say the least. As a member of the service industry and degreed in Retail Management, I was absolutley disgusted with the treatement that was given to me by a bouncer on April 10, 2010. I am 23 years of age and had a valid drivers License with me and was denied entry into the establishment, was questioned about the details on my license and was still denied access. I had a second form of identification which was a chargecard for a major retailer and was told that it was not valid even though my name was clearly printed on the card. The bouncer was very rude and dismissive when asked to speak to a manager. We had a group of approx 10 people that night for a friends 21st bday party. Sadly, me and as well as my friends will never do business at this establishement in the future because of the poor service from this paticular employee.
