Go here only if you like Cracker Barrel. I was terribly disappointed when I tried MCL. If you like Cracker Barrel you might like this place, although it is far below Cracker Barrel’s standards. However, I hate Cracker Barrel–yet this place was so bad I wished I had been at Cracker Barrel. Everything is dripping with butter and I don’t think the bakers have ever heard of whole wheat flour. Further, if you don’t eat meat there is virtually nothing for you to eat. If you want tons of desserts and no class, this is your place. But with all of the good food available in this area–especially ethnic foods–I don’t know why anyone would come here. I had my 90 year old mother-in-law and needed to find a place quickly that would have bland food or I never would have considered it. And I won’t again even if she is with me. If you want a buffet, try HuHot Mongolian Grill by Tipp Mall or even Golden Corral. But not MCL.

Tonight I remembered what I dislike about MCL. Their prices keep going up and their serving sizes keep getting smaller. A dinner out at MCL will cost you some bucks so don’t forget your wallet! They do have good fried chicken & cinnamon rolls. In addition, their yeast rolls are usually good too. I miss Jesse Fiel the former manager very much. It’s great that he made CEO of the company, but the local store has never been the same in my opinion.

Cafeteria Style Dining With A Small Town Feel. This place may seam as though its demographic is that of age group that some might not consider food connoisseurs, but some times traditions are in place for a reason. Hand cut roast beef, delicious chicken noodles, nice liver and onions (if that your cup of tea hahaha), clover leaf yeast roll, salads and deserts like your grandmother made. The staff is politely and helpful. Not your usually restaurant, but one and only in the area. A great place for comfort food and reminiscing.

Employees are so kind here!. I love the food and I have NEVER received bad servious, very kind helpful people. It receives 5 STARS from my family and cow-workers who also eat there often.
